The six faces of Samantha Carter

Okay after a nice long discussion with [info]seandc, I sort of found out there is at least 6 different version of Samantha Carter running around the Stargate world (Eight if you really want to be technical). Geez I can imagine the sort of scene if they'd all meet up, some sort of slapstick comedy in the mode of Lucille Ball or Joan Blondell instead of "To many Boys" it would be "To many Samantha Carters"!

Hilarity will definatly ensure.

Well tonights episode was well... great but...

Maybe I am a cyncial old bastard but I really don't like Time Travel episodes, they make you think to hard. And I don't mean nice intellectual type thinking, I mean headache-inducing paradox type stuff. Of course if you don't think about that paradox stuff, the episode is rip-roaring fun, but I guess I am to much of a nerd not to.

Jeebus knows why, I was a math nerd at school, not a psyhics nerd.

The Jack-Sam smut tonight was truly excellent. Enough to warm the coccles of any little smutty slashers heart. I am not even sure why I am such a huge fan of Hetsmut when I don't even lean that way myself, but hey it was straight middle age housewives that founded the entire K/S smutty tradition.

Okay having just spoken to Sean, I have just learnt what the nature of a ZPM is. WTF! They travelled back in time, changed the universe chasing nothing but a Durcell Battery!?!?!?! Not exactly the Holy Grail type of object you'd expect Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas to go swinging through the trees for.

And what was up with Nerd!Sam's pronounciation of Antartica? Was it down to show a difference in the Alternative Universe?

Sorry just a wierd nitpick.

I love the movie theme swell during the scene at the end of the episode though.

All in all, the episodes on a thematic level are not bad at all, of course once you scratch the surface I am not sure if they could hold up. All this adventure that 'didn't happen' gets really annoying really fast.

Oh well.

I shouldn't be writing this at 3.15am anyway.
